Ireland have been crowned ‘Best Butchers in The World 2018.

The World Butchers Challenge Gala Awards Dinner was held in Titanic Belfast on 21st March 2018 and was hosted by TV Presenter Pamela Ballantine.  The dinner consisted for 500 people from countries across the World and was heavily attended by Sponsors and Industry Peers; Live Stock Meat Commission, Food Standards Agency, Belfast City Council, Mid Ulster Council, Stephens Catering, F Dick, McDonnells, Spice O Life, Lucas Ingredients, Kerry Leading to Better, Globeweigh, Scobe & Junor, Wexford Casings and other well known Industry Peers.  This is the first time Ireland has competed in this competition and were also the Host to the biggest World Butchers Challenge in its history with 12 countries competing for the title from Great Britain, USA, Brazil, South Africa, France, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Australia, Germany and Ireland.
