What an unbelievable competition enjoyed by all at the Butchery Expo 2016. The Chefs versus Butcher Challenge was not for the faint hearted, eat a 72oz Rib Eye to be eaten in the quickest time, the steaks where hand picked by Dunbia and matured for 21 days, simply delicious. We even had our MFC Chief Executive Rhonda Montgomery with her cavewoman technique, Master Chef Gary Gamble and Dine in by Doley Chef Dolan Heaney in hot pursuit with the BBQ queen herself Chef Pauline McGurk with her petite style. but without any doubt the competition was neck and neck right up until the bell, when Master Butcher Dave Lang ate the last part of the steak with 450g remaining pipping Executive Chef Dolan Heaney and winning the title for the butcher fraternity. Well Done Dave. A special mention goes to Matthew Beattie a late replacement, thanks for your help.
