New Judging Panel for Sausage & Pudding Competition
Butchery Excellence Ireland have launched their Sausage & Pudding Championship 2018. There are over 35 butcher shops taking part with over 150 entries this year, which will be their biggest Sausage and Pudding Competition to date.
The event is being held at Aughnacloy Golf Club on 11th and 12th March and the results will be released on Friday 13th March on social media and Butchery Excellence Website.
We have a NEW JUDGING PANEL this year. Dave Lang our Master Butcher will be the Head Judge this year, followed by Industry Specialists Ernan McGettigan from Donegal who is 7 year Supreme Champion Sausage Maker and received the Commanderie des Fins Goustiers du Duche d’Alencon,in France and Irish Food Guild Writer Leslie Williams who is a journalist, blogger and freelance food and wine writer. He writes for a range of publications including the Irish Examiner. The Competition Theatre Manager is Rhonda Montgomery and administration will be completed by Niamh Maguire.
The professional expertise at this years competition is excellent and we are very excited to who has the best Sausages & Puddings in Ireland this year and who will be representing Ireland in the Butcher of the Year Final 2018.
Awards Evening will be confirmed on Friday with the release of results.
