Rhonda MontgomeryChief Executive Officer
Rhonda founded Montgomery Food Consulting in 2010 when she identified a niche market for providing small and medium sized food manufacturers with technical interim services. The company has grown considerably over the last two years, employing 7 staff, with the introduction of new sub divisions in the business: Butchery Excellence Scheme Ulster, The Practical Cookery School, Traditional Ulster Butchers Association, Butchery Counter Point and Deli Academy. Rhonda is a very focused individual, who goes out of her way to support and mentor her clients. She believes that business sustainability is key to her business and working closely with her stakeholders is of imperative importance to succeed in meeting her goals “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
Niamh MaguireTechnical Project / Label Compliance Manager
Niamh joined the company in 2013 as a placement student. On completion of her year placement, Rhonda offered Niamh a full time position in the company with the option of completing her Bsc Hons degree in Food Design and Nutrition on a part time basis. Rhonda agreed to sponsor Niamh as she was given the same opportunity by a company many years ago. Niamh is responsible for servicing butchery excellence members to ensure they are compliant, collecting & standardising recipes and producing food labelling and nutritional information for our clients. Niamh has grown with the company over the past two years and has become a loyal, proactive and dedicated employee that looks after BES members very well. Niamh is working on new exciting projects in the company ranging from developing our audit protocols to devising a new Quality Standard for Butchery Excellence International to enable our members to become certified butchers.
Dave LangMaster Butcher
Dave’s role will be to mentor our members on cost control, margin on products, stock control and butchery skills. This new service will take Butchery Excellence to the next level to help our members understand balance sheets and profit and loss. Dave will be in charge of the Butchery Traineeship and will be the assessor for all trainees on the programme. Dave is a FETAC/QQI Accredited trainer and mentor. Dave is a Master Butcher with many years experience in Meat Retail, Wholesale, Slaughtering, Manufacturing and Sausage Making. He was a craft butcher for many years and he understands butcher's needs. He has worked in many High Street Stores and Supermarkets. He has many years experience judging butchery competitions and he will assist our Managing Director Sean Owens in the judging of all BES competitions.
Lyndsay BellMarketing and Sales Executive
Lyndsay has joined Montgomery food consulting as a Marketing and Sales executive. After graduating from Northumbria University with a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Communication and Public Relations, she spent 6 months travelling Australia and Thailand before looking for a full time position. Lyndsay spent a year on placement in Newry, Mourne and Down District Council as part of her studies and will be working alongside Rhonda to help develop the businesses digital marketing strategy, implementing marketing campaigns and will be responsible for updating website content and social media channels. We’re so pleased to welcome her to the rapidly growing team and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
