The countdown for Butchery Excellence International’s annual ‘All Ireland BBQ Championships’ has well and truly begun. The event, which will be held on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 of June 2018 in Aughnacloy Golf Club, will be a day to remember.
All entries will be cooked by a professional chef using the Brand New Trail Blazer BBQ. This competition promises to be the biggest one ever in its history. There is expected to be over 200 entries in this competition.
Winners will not only receive boasting rights within the meat industry but will also receive a cup for the overall winner, trophies for the category winners alongside medals and certificates for the runners up.
Butchery Excellence International Chief Executive, Rhonda Montgomery will be hosting the event for the fifth time.
Rhonda Montgomery said, “Not only will this terrific event appeal to butchers and meat enthusiasts alike, but it will also benefit a worthwhile industry and encourage the butchery trade to produce high quality and innovative products. Hopefully this quality will help encourage people to shop local and support local butchers.”
Closing date for entries is Friday 1 June at 5.00pm. Entry fee’s are £30 GBP/€35 Euros per entry for BEI Members and £40 GBP/€45 Euros per entry for non BEI members. All entries must be delivered to Butchery Excellence International headquarters by 4 June between 9am-5pm. Collections can be arranged upon request, however that will incur an additional charge.
