All Ireland BBQ Championship
Have you got what it takes to be our next finalist to compete and gain the Title of ‘Butcher of The Year 2018?
The competition takes place on 6th and 7th June at Aughnacloy Golf Club. All entries will be cooked by a professional chef using the Brand New Trail Blazer BBQ. This competition promises to be the biggest one ever in its history. There is expected to be over 200 entries in this competition.
Class 1: BBQ Premium Steak
A cut from the Sirloin (NI) or Striploin (ROI), Fillet, Rib-eye Steak, Porterhouse or T Bone.
Class 2: BBQ Baby Rack of Ribs
A full rack of short cut N.Irish/Irish Pork or short cut Beef Ribs, Trimmed, Prepared ready for the BBQ, special recipe Rubs and
marinades may be used.
Class 3: BBQ Beef Brisket
1.5kg piece of Beef Brisket prepared with rub or marinade for cooking on the BBQ.
Class 4: BBQ Pulled Pork
1.5kg piece of Pork Shoulder prepared with rub and / or marinade for cooking on the BBQ.
Class 5: BBQ Shish / Kofta / Grill Stick Kebab
Two identical kebabs using minced Irish/N.Irish Meat (Any meat of your choice) with the addition of any other ingredients considered appropriate.
Class 6: BBQ Product of your choice or Added Value Product of your choice
A cut of any red / white meat of your choice, with the addition of any other ingredients deemed appropriate by the entrant or any BBQ Product of your choice.
Class 7: BBQ Chicken
A chicken breast on the bone, Poussin baby chicken or Spatchcock chicken with the addition of any other ingredients deemed appropriate by the entrant.
Class 8: BBQ Chicken Wings
A chicken wing with the addition of any other ingredients deemed appropriate by the entrant.
Class 9: BBQ Potato, Vegetable or Salad Side Dish
A potato, vegetable or salad based dish with the addition of any other ingredients deemed appropriate by the entrant.
Class 10: BBQ Seafood
Any fish/seafood of your choice and it must be boned and trimmed for immediate use.
Class 11: BBQ Burger
Any Irish/N.Irish minced meat (Any meat of your choice) without flavourings and no additions such as fruit, chili, black pudding, etc.
Class 12: BBQ Specialty Burger
Any Irish/N.Irish minced meat of your choice, with the addition of other ingredients to flavor your burger for this specialty category.
How To Enter
Entry fee: £30 GBP/€35 Euros per entry for BEI Members
£40 GBP/€45 Euros per entry for non BEI members.
VAT charges will be applied to N.Ireland customers only. Entry fees are not refundable in the event of the competition being cancelled for reasons out
of the Competition Co-ordinators control.
